Abstrak

Hypertension / high blood pressure is the third biggest risk factor for premature death. An increase in blood pressure is closely related to a decrease in a person's life expectancy and an increased risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, and other target organ diseases. Hypertension is also known as a killer disease and a heterogeneous group of diseases. The purpose of this observation was to determine the use of antihypertensive drugs at most in Apotek KL, Bandung. Amlodipine is an antihypertensive drug that is most often used by people with hypertension during one month of observation at Apotek KL. Amlodipine is one of an antihypertensive drug in the Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) class that does not tolerate long-term offerings so it can be used as monotherapy based on JNC VII guidelines. Amlodipine is a widely sold drug that has the highest rates compared to other antihypertensive drugs such as candesartan and captopril.
